Too often underpaid and overworked, teachers make a difference every day, driven by their love of learning and of sharing that passion with the next generation. If you’re a better or happier person today because of a teacher, make sure to let them know–on Valentine’s Day or any day.

    That’s nice. When I had my first national magazine article published - I wrote my college professor, who told me I could absolutely be a writer. Everyone always said I “should” but no one had ever been so sure I “could” - he even wrote back (thankfully he remembered me).
