Summer Blooms
It’s the middle of the summer growing season in the northern hemisphere, having just past the summer solstice on June 20, and the b5 Lifestyles Channel is sharing what’s blooming in their gardens and in their lives. See what’s blooming around the channel:
Marye at Baking Delights kicks us off with the 50 Best Edible Flower Recipes Ever, and she has blossoms for your beverages at Kettle and Cup to complete the meal. Marye knows food, so I’m going to be checking out these recipes over the next few days.
Linette and I will help you understand edible flowers at Robust Cooking.
At She Knows PartiesLinette shows you how to use cut flowers for your summer party decorations.
Here at All Holiday CafeI show you how to arrange roses in a vase.
Kelly at Brew Ha-Ha has a quick primer on hops vines. I have a hops vine in my garden, but it’s never looked as good at the one Kelly has pictured.
Katelyn at Stamping Mad made us a beautiful blooming stamped collage.
Peggy at Tree Hugging Family challenges us to bloom our green habits. What can you do to “grow” your green habits?
Mary Emma Allen, at Quilting and Patchwork, urges quilters to use their talents and “bloom where they’re planted.”
Charlene Polanosky and Christine Young have been helping your children bloom all summer with Camp Weary Parent. It sound like a great way to keep your children learning over the summer. Last week was time travel week, this week they’re getting back to nature with nature crafts, and worm farms.
To go along with Camp Weary Parent, Karen Weideman, at One Book Two Book shows young readers the excitement of a nature station.
I showed you what’s blooming in my garden for garden bloom day here at Mother Earth’s Garden.
I hope you enjoyed your blooming tour. I hope you check out some of these wonderful blogs, let them know you’re “following the blooms.” If you like what you see you can subscribe to the Lifestyles Channel so you won’t miss a thing.
