Josh Groban’s ‘Noel’ Tops Billboard Charts
by Liberty on December 1st, 2007
What a Happy Holiday for hunky songster, Josh Groban. His holiday album, Noel, topped the Billboard charts this week, the first Christmas album to reach this milestone since Kenny G’s album, Miracles, paved the way in 1994.
Groban’s Noel had already spent a comfy seven weeks on the chart, but shot to Number One after he appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show last week (his CD was one of Oprah’s Favorite Things). Following his drop-in, sales of his album rose an incredible 81%.
Just goes to show, once more, the power of The Oprah.
Congratulations, Josh! You deserve it. “O Holy Night” brings me to a standstill every single time I hear it. So beautiful and poignant. A true Christmas classic.
