Yes, I know you’re still planning for New Year’s Eve and recovering from the December holidays, but January starts a whole new season of holidays. Below are just a few of the dates you can look forward to:
January 5 – National Bird Day
January 6 – Epiphany – The day (supposedly) the Three Kings arrived in Bethlehem to see the Baby Jesus.
January 10 - Islamic New Year
January 15 – Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday
January 15 – National Hat Day
January 21 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day – The national holiday to celebrate the life of the 20th century civil rights leader.
January 23 – National Pie Day
January 25 – Burns Night – A Scottish holiday, honoring the Scots poet, Robert Burns.
January 26 – Australia Day – the Day Sydney Australia was settled by westerners in 1778.
January 27 – Chocolate Cake Day – My kind of holiday!
