All About Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras (also called Shrove Tuesday and Fat Tuesday) is the day before Ash Wednesday, the traditional beginning of the Lenten season that precedes Easter. It falls 45 days prior to Easter and can be as early as February 3 and as late as March 9. Below is a look at Mardi Gras celebrations around the world:
